Standing with Ukraine

Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen statements from organizational leaders condemning Russian leadership’s senseless attacks on Ukraine. I’ve seen an outpour of financial support pledged to the suffering people of Ukraine. While the attacks on Ukraine are disheartening and disturbing, I remain hopeful for peace and recovery – and I trust those of us fortunate enough to not know what it’s like to fear for our safety in our own homes will continue to provide Ukrainian citizens with the financial support and aid that we can. At Sikich, we too are doing our part to supply economic support to humanitarian organizations working diligently to deliver aid and relief to the innocent families suffering in Ukraine.

Having worked directly in law enforcement, I know firsthand that violence and threats rarely solve problems. I condemn the horrific actions taken by Russia’s leadership and hope, with everything that I have, for peace.

Sikich is a global professional services firm, and while we don’t currently have clients in Russia and Ukraine, this conflict hits close to home for our team members and me. I know that the actions taken by Russia’s leadership do not reflect the citizens of Russia. However, many global companies have had to cut ties with their employees and clients in Russia – an immensely difficult decision spurred solely by the country’s leadership. This conflict hurts more people than it could ever possibly help.

As the horrific events continue to unfold, we will not sit. We stand with the people of Ukraine.
