Steve Dawson has been an HR technology practitioner and consultant for over 25 years. Prior to joining Sikich, he was a Vice President on the Digital HR team of a large multinational media conglomerate. In that role, he successfully led many complex global projects as well as having broad responsibility for day-to-day management of a leading cloud based HCM platform. He also has many years of HR and IT consulting experience across a range of industries including higher education, healthcare, manufacturing and financial services.
Steve has technology expertise in all phases of the system lifecycle including selection, implementation, upgrade and assessment. He has delivered solutions in absence, benefits, compensation, core HR, recruiting, payroll, talent and time tracking. Steve is familiar with compliance obligations stemming from SOX and GDPR and has extensive experience solving application security, reporting and data integrity challenges. He has also managed numerous system changes resulting from business restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Steve specializes in helping clients plan and execute their transition from on-premise to SaaS solutions, develop technology roadmaps, optimize use of their existing technology portfolios, evaluate outsourcing opportunities, adopt new ways of working as well as implement robust technology governance and operating models.
