Chris Geier elected managing partner and CEO

Leader of the firm’s advisory services and investment banking practice will assume role in January 2017

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — May 12, 2016 — Professional services firm Sikich LLP announced today that the firm’s partners elected Chris Geier the new managing partner and CEO. Geier is partner-in-charge of the firm’s advisory services and investment banking practice and a member of the executive board. He will assume the new role on January 1, 2017.

As managing partner and CEO, Geier will oversee the firm’s strategic and financial planning and guide future growth, including mergers and acquisitions across the accounting, technology and advisory service areas.

“Chris Geier has played an integral role in developing and helping guide the firm’s strategy over the past eight years,” said Sikich CEO Jim Sikich. “He is a proven leader with broad business experience who is highly respected by the executive board and across the firm. As I look toward my planned retirement at the end of 2017, I am excited about the firm’s growth plans and know it will continue to thrive and enhance its exemplary client service under Chris’ leadership.”

Geier joined Sikich in 2008. He has held C-level operating roles at both private and publicly traded companies and has more than 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions across multiple industries.

Geier graduated with a degree in criminal justice from Washington State University and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
