As of January 11, 2023, mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 ended. There are no longer any versions of NAV receiving mainstream support.
It is highly recommended that clients upgrade to D365 Business Central (BC) to receive new features, bug fixes, security patches, and general support from Microsoft. Sikich will still provide our clients with technical support. However, we will only have the opportunity to receive additional help from Microsoft if you are on an unsupported version.
Due to required security updates, some ISV solutions are no longer compatible with unsupported versions of NAV, so a move to BC is necessary. Sikich cannot guarantee we can assist clients that are using an unsupported version of NAV, so please reach out to your Client Account Manager as soon as possible to discuss what is right for your company.
Sikich supports and encourages our clients to start a transition plan to Microsoft’s ERP system, Dynamics 365 Business Central. Moving to Business Central will remove the need for system upgrades in the future, and you simply pay per user per month for access. With D365 BC Cloud, Microsoft automatically applies updates behind the scenes as part of the service.
We understand that not all companies are suited for the cloud, which is why Business Central provides on-premises options. Clients have the option of an on-premises version of Business Central or a hybrid version where they can deploy a cloud instance and on-premise simultaneously. Sikich has a team of experienced technical resources to strategize and migrate your system.
If you’re ready or needing to upgrade from Dynamics NAV to Business Central, please reach out to our experts today!
