To set If you need more than one line to describe an item on a sales, purchase or service document, you can easily use the extended text feature.

  1. up extended text for items, resources and G/L accounts for use on purchase/sales documents, simply:

a. Navigate to an item card.

b. Select the “Extended Text” action on the ribbon.

c. Create a new Extended Text card.

d. You also have the ability to select whether your extended text will appear on sales, purchase and service documents at the bottom of the extended text card.

e. Next, create a new sales order for the item you previously created the extended text for.

f. After you have added the item to the sales order, select “Functions” and “Insert Ext. Text.

g.  Your extended text will be applied to the line below your item on the sales order lines. It’s that simple.
