Clarke Corp distributes high-end appliances throughout New England. Tom Clarke founded the company in 1991. His idea for distributing appliances was to invite consumers into a beautiful setting to test drive the appliances. Since then the company has added two culinary centers where top chefs of the region give classes on their kitchen secrets. In addition, a national TV show films in one of their culinary centers.

Clarke Corp implemented Dynamics GP in 2000 when Parker first came to the company.

We use Dynamics GP in a lot of different roles. We use it not only for managing our warehouse, but we also plug in a barcode system and a warehouse management system into it.

Sikich was a big part of that in helping us select the software and implementing it. It saved us a tremendous amount of man hours. It’s just made life very easy for me, as a CFO to get information out, get it to the owner of the company, and make adaptations to the system for our users to make it easier.

Even after the Dynamics GP implementation, Sikich was still there to help Clarke Corp with any questions and troubleshooting. They also learned firsthand that our customer service does not make clients jump through machine hoops. Real live people are both available to directly answer any calls and knowledgeable to fix software issues.

We had a specific issue here, and I had my IT guy in my office and said, “Well, let’s give Sikich a call.” He called them up and was totally floored that somebody actually picked up the phone and could solve our problem. In probably ten minutes, we had the issue fixed, and so we hang up, and my IT guy said, “Wow I can’t believe someone actually picked up the phone.” Well that’s what they have there, and that’s why we chose Sikich.
