Oh no, another Management Reporter issue! Microsoft has released an alert regarding a Management Reporter (MR) issue they recently uncovered. Specifically, a new Windows update could cause issues with MR. If Management Reporter was working fine for you, then suddenly stopped, it’s likely related to this Windows update from November.
In addition, this has caused known issues with Kerberos when installed on a domain controller server. Please reach out to our support team if you are facing these issues, and we will assist with the fix.
Replace Management Reporter With Jet Reports
Over the last few years, more and more issues have come up with Management Reporter. MR has been the included reporting tool for GP for the last several years, and we at Sikich continue to get reports of errors time after time. While we can continue to assist with fixes when Management Reporter issues come up, we recommend a permanent solution of migrating to Jet Reports. Jet Reports is the go-to reporting tool for GP today, and there is a free version to try out before moving forward with one of the paid versions.
Jet Reports is a reporting tool by one of our trusted vendors, Insight Software. Jet Reports integrates with GP as well as Dynamics 365 Business Central. So if you invest in this solution with GP and plan to move to BC in the future, you’re already ahead of the game when it comes to that next step.
Jet is an Excel-based reporting tool that finance teams find very user friendly. If you are comfortable with Excel, this tool will be an easy one for you to learn.
