CHICAGO – June 24, 2026 – Sikich, a professional services company specializing in consulting, technology and compliance, today announced Robert Todero, CPA, has joined the company’s Government Audit team.
With more than 38 years of experience spanning federal and state government agencies and private institutions, Todero previously served as a partner at KPMG, where he led complex audit engagements and provided strategic guidance on financial reporting, compliance and operational performance. He has worked with federal agencies including the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice and Department of Energy.
Sikich was recently awarded a multi-year contract to provide financial statement audit services for the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General, where Todero will serve as a component principal and help shape strategy in the federal market.

Todero has served more than a decade as chair of the District of Columbia Board of Accountancy and currently serves as Middle-Atlantic Regional Director on the NASBA Board of Directors. He holds a Juris Doctor from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado. He is a certified public accountant in Washington, D.C. and Maryland and is also a member of the D.C. Bar.
