Sikich names Laura Culp a partner-in-charge

Culp will oversee professional services firm’s work across service lines with construction and real estate clients

AKRON, Ohio — July 11, 2017 — Professional services firm Sikich LLP recently named Laura Culp, CPA, partner-in-charge of its construction and real estate services practice. Culp, a certified construction industry financial professional and personal financial specialist, works in Sikich’s Akron, Ohio, office and has more than 30 years of experience helping contractors and real estate developers with tax and financial strategy, as well as succession planning.

“With the construction and real estate industries primed for growth, Sikich is well-positioned to support clients in multiple areas of their businesses,” Culp said. “We have a very experienced and knowledgeable team, and I look forward to deploying multiple service areas to help construction and real estate companies overcome their specific business challenges and thrive.”

Sikich’s construction and real estate services practice serves general contractors, specialty subcontractors, construction management companies, architecture and engineering companies, and commercial realtors and developers. The firm offers clients across industries audit, accounting and tax, technology, investment banking, wealth management, as well as a wide mix of advisory and managed services.

In addition to her work at Sikich, Culp serves on the executive committee for the Akron/Canton chapter of the Ohio Contractors Association. She is also a board member and 2017 campaign chair for the United Way of Summit County, a board member for the Greater Akron Chamber, and a member of the Akron General Health System Board of Trustees.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Lafayette College and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Akron.
