Illinois CPA Society Honors Brent DeMay with Distinguished Service Award

CHICAGO – June 12, 2024 – Sikich, a global technology-enabled professional services company, announced today that Brent DeMay, CPA, CGMA, principal, was honored with a Distinguished Service Award by the Illinois CPA Society (ILCPA). This award honors ILCPA members who display a commitment to excellence by taking on extra challenges and responsibilities in their volunteer service roles. This award was given to Brent for his significant contributions to the Employee Benefits Committee.

“Brent goes above and beyond in his service to Sikich and the accounting profession,” said Karen Sanchez, principal and employee benefit plan service line leader, CPA at Sikich. “From integrating newly acquired practices to change management in the EBP practice, his contributions to this profession are truly inspiring.”

Brent, a principal on the Sikich accounting and consulting team, oversees the company’s multiemployer employee benefit plan audit practice and serves on the practice’s national leadership team. He also brings his expertise to various national and state committees, including more than 10 years on the Illinois CPA Society’s Employee Benefits Committee.

Brent will formally be presented with his award at the Leadership Recognition & Awards Dinner in Chicago on June 13, 2024.
