These newly created roles are critical to the company’s ongoing commitment to grow strategically and gain market share. These roles include:
- Melanie Barnes, CPA, will lead Assurance in addition to specifically overseeing the for-profit assurance practice. Barnes has more than 20 years of public accounting and industry experience and has played a key role in for-profit assurance at Sikich. In this new role, Barnes will oversee clients’ compliance needs to help efficiently scale over the life of their business. Her deep expertise in the middle-market will help clients take their business to the next level.
- Matt Denton, CPA, MBA, will lead growth initiatives in this newly elevated role. With a history of building long-standing relationships for the past 12 years, he will leverage his deep expertise in core industries to deliver growth strategies across the practice and for clients.
- Kurt Walcutt, CPA, will assume leadership of Tax, drawing from his years of experience providing a broad range of accounting, tax and business advisory services to clients in various industries. Walcutt’s 35 years of tax expertise includes tax planning, corporate structure, estate planning, merger & acquisition transactions and succession planning for clients across industries.
