Areas of specialty

Grants management system
Sikich delivered a new financial grants management system and enhanced an existing contract management system for a large state workforce agency during its technology modernization effort. The Salesforce solution united partner agencies into a single platform and handles complex financial workflows that optimize the delivery of services to citizens and businesses throughout the state.
The platform provides a seamless experience for the entire grant lifecycle, from application submittal to review, scoring, and processing, including invoice submission, modification requests, and progress reports. Sikich brought transparency and data visibility to this complex process, improving service outcomes through our grant oversight with insight capabilities. The solution also includes integration with identity management tools to maximize security and permission controls and protect personal information.

Public health ordering system
Sikich answered the call to rapidly design and implement a modern, data-driven application to effectively deliver urgently needed public health resources for multiple, large state agencies during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We collaborated with the state to replace an overwhelmed 20-year-old email, spreadsheet, and printed paperwork process using the Salesforce CRM, deploying the first iteration within just 72 hours.
The system provided a significant reduction in staff hours by minimizing manual data entry and associated errors, increased visibility into the overall supply and demand of vital medical resources, and improved dashboard capabilities and reporting to the governor’s office. Sikich also served as the trusted data steward and implemented the state’s first-ever state agency MuleSoft project to integrate 25+ applications, including local government and warehouse management systems.
With more than 2 billion units of life saving resources processed through the system, this serves as a testament to our expertise in solving high-visibility, complex issues.

Mutual aid reimbursement system
Sikich designed and implemented a comprehensive financial management and invoicing application to transition paper-based expense and claim forms into an integrated, online portal for a large state fire agency and its more than 1,200 local fire agency customers. Local fire agencies and firefighters could now access a self-service community portal to sign up, submit timely claims, manage their own users, and generate reports.
The Salesforce solution enabled complex rate calculations based upon time spent by firefighters on incidents and reconciled fees owed to generate invoices out of the system, digitizing the end-to-end reimbursement process. This streamlined the state agency review of the claims, allowing efficient invoice approvals and timely routing to paying entities all within the system.
Today, the solution has consolidated tens of thousands of annual paper claims that previously had to be mailed to and processed at the state agency headquarters, which dramatically reduced the turnaround time to support local fire agencies throughout the entire state.
