About Community Boating Center
Community Boating Center is a non-profit organization that uses boating as a tool to teach positive life values to at-risk youth through boating. The founder was a social worker who, after a long day of working with a family of seven children, thought of when her own son starting sailing in high school. She thought of the friendships he formed, the self-confidence and self-integrity he developed, and the value of teamwork he learned. She started with a summer youth sailing program that now serves 500 kids from ages 5 to 18 as well as a hands-on STEM education program during the school calendar year.
We used probably six different systems to manage our donors to manage our accounting, manage our email lists, and so on. So what NetSuite’s allowed us to do is be able to take all those systems and combine them into one, and that really saves us on time, on money, and effort just to manage the day-to-day operations. – Andy Herlihy, Executive Director
The Sikich Solution
Sikich (at that time, known as Altico) came in five years prior for a different software deployment.
We really were impressed with the technique and approach of Sikich, where they focused on our organization and on the solution to help us in the long term as opposed to coming in and fixing a problem. They taught us how to work with the software, to work with a solution to improve our work processes going forward.
Boating Community Center knew that they wanted to make the move to NetSuite, but thanks to their positive experience with Sikich in the past, they reached out to us to implement their new software solution. We were more than happy to do so. Thanks to NetSuite, their six systems were consolidated into one application. Now everything, from email to accounting to managing donors to daily tasks, could all be accomplished in NetSuite.
Once again, the Sikich team came in and helped us learn not just what we needed to do to deploy the software, but to help make us successful with NetSuite going forward. We couldn’t be happier.
