SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — July 9, 2020 — The Springfield Business Journal recently named Teri Taylor, an audit manager on the not-for-profit and higher education team at Sikich, one of the city’s top 40 leaders under the age of 40. The Business Journal recognized her personal and professional involvement in and dedication to the nonprofit sector.
“It’s gratifying to serve as an adviser to nonprofit organizations and help them advance their important missions,” Taylor said. “Being recognized for that work by the Springfield Business Journal is an immense honor.”
Taylor has more than 15 years of experience providing accounting strategies and audit services to the nonprofit industry, including social service organizations, membership associations and higher education institutions. Outside of her work at Sikich, Taylor serves as treasurer for Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County, an international nonprofit housing organization. She previously served as race director and was on the board of the Springfield Road Runners Club and volunteered with the American Red Cross.
“Teri has drawn from her experience serving nonprofit clients and her many volunteer roles to develop a well-rounded view of the industry,” said Richard Lynch, partner-in-charge of Sikich’s Springfield office and leader of the company’s not-for-profit team. “She is a trusted adviser to nonprofit organizations, and it is an honor to have Teri on our team at Sikich.”
