NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Aug. 2, 2016 — Sikich LLP, a leading accounting, technology and managed services firm, has been honored with a 2016 When Work Works award for its use of exemplary workplace strategies to increase business and employee success.

Sikich received the award for its office in Naperville, Illinois. The award, based on the assessment and survey of the top 20 percent of worksites in Illinois, is presented by the national When Work Works project to those organizations which continue the movement toward effective workplace strategies on behalf of both the business and employees.

“This award is a great honor to reward the efforts of our firm’s encouragement and support of workplace flexibility, opportunities for learning, work/life balance and a rich culture from which both the firm and employees benefit,” said the chief human resources officer at Sikich.

Administered by the Families and Work Institute (FWI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the award is unique for its rigorous, two-step selection process, which involves an evaluation of employers’ flexibility programs and practices and a confidential employee survey. All applicants are measured against national norms from the National Study of Employers.

When Work Works is a national project that shares research results on what makes an effective and flexible workplace with the business community.
