Liz Lang, CPA, CGFM, is a partner with more than 14 years of experience conducting financial statement and performance audits at organizations ranging in size and complexity. She joined Sikich through the 2022 acquisition of Cotton & Company, a sophisticated leading organization in the state and federal government space. Liz is customer and communication-focused with a demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, standards-based services.
Since 2010, she has focused her career on performing audits of high-profile government clients, including cabinet-level federal agencies, independent federal agencies, regulatory agencies and federal working capital funds. Liz is a subject-matter expert in government auditing standards and federal financial reporting requirements.
Throughout her career, she has also directed, executed and supported performance audits conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards. These audits covered a variety of topics, including fee-setting methodologies, compliance with the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA), incurred-cost submissions, grantee oversight and monitoring, and information technology (IT) change controls.
