We look forward to seeing you on October 16. \nAbout Edward Westfall\nEdward “Ed” Westfall has had a near 40-year public and military service career and brings that executive perspective to his role as the Sikich Government Technology team’s Director of Business Development and Customer Success. He serves as the primary executive liaison with state and local government clients\, ensuring services align with their strategic objectives. By taking a strategic partnering approach\, Ed leverages expertise in public policy\, interagency coordination\, and organizational leadership to ensure that both the client\, and the ultimate customer\, the public\, achieve improved outcomes from Sikich’s work. \nBefore Sikich\, Ed served in the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES)\, most recently as the Deputy Director for Response Operations where he oversaw all Cal OES regional emergency management\, law enforcement\, fire and rescue operations\, as well as the State Operation Center and the Warning Center. Ed also was the Cal OES Coastal Region Administrator\, providing comprehensive emergency management support to the coastal counties and local governments from Big Sur north to the Oregon border. \nEd is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Captain. During his decades of military service\, he served globally\, including assignments to multiple agencies in addition to serving at-sea for twenty years\, ten of which were in command. He served in an executive role in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence\, as the Executive Director of The Interdiction Committee\, as the Arctic Strategy Branch Chief at U.S. European Command\, and as the Assistant Coast Guard Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. He closed his Coast Guard career as the Director of the Office of Emerging Policy\, identifying\, evaluating\, and integrating high-priority issues and the evolving strategic context in support of the Coast Guard Commandant and other senior service leaders. \nEd also continues to serve thru two non-profit board roles: As President of the for the Lilac Preservation Project’s Board of Trustees\, and as a board member for Our Brain Bank for Glioblastoma. Ed has a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College\, a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University\, and a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York.
