LeFevre is Instructor for Northern Illinois University Accounting Courses
Aurora, IL December 20, 2006: Brian D. LeFevre, CPA, MBA, Partner with Sikich LLP, was a guest instructor for Dr. John H. Engstrom, DBA, CPA, CGFM “Governmental Accounting and Nonprofit Accounting” courses and a guest speaker for Dr. Dave Sinason, CPA, CFE, CFSA “Governmental Accounting” course for the Masters in Public Administration Program at Northern Illinois University.
LeFevre addressed basic governmental and nonprofit accounting theory and practice to the students of the NIU Department of Accountancy, who represent an outstanding program that is currently ranked 25th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report Magazine.
LeFevre is responsible for providing technical services to Sikich’s governmental clients in all areas of governmental accounting, auditing, financial reporting, budget development, revenue and expenditure forecasting and cash and debt management. He has participated in hundreds of audits of municipalities and other governmental units since he began his career with Sikich in 1993. He has also been responsible in developing and serving as lead instructor for governmental accounting, auditing and financial reporting training courses internally for the firm and for the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA). Brian is also the Chair of the GAAP Basis Subcommittee of the Government Report Review Task Force of the Illinois CPA Society. LeFevre resides in Batavia, IL.
