LeFevre Addresses IGFOA Annual Conference
AURORA, IL - October 17, 2003:

Brian D. LeFevre, CPA, Partner, with Sikich Gardner & Co, LLP, spoke at the recent Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA) Annual Conference in Peoria, IL.

LeFevre was a presenter at the seminar, “Pooling Cash and Investments”. Pooling is a concept that can reduce the administrative costs of the cash and investment function. LeFevre addressed the benefits, requirements, and potential problems with the use of these pools. Also speaking was Todd Dowden, Assistant Finance Director with the Village of Bartlett. The moderator of the seminar was Peg Hartnett, Assistant Finance Director of the Village of Villa Park.

LeFevre is responsible for providing technical services to the governmental clients of Sikich Gardner & Co, LLP. He has experience in all areas of governmental accounting, auditing, financial reporting, budget development, revenue and expenditure forecasting, and cash and debt management. He has participated in over 400 audits of municipalities and other governmental units since he began his career with Sikich Gardner in 1993. He has been responsible for developing and serving as lead instructor for governmental accounting, auditing and financial reporting training courses internally for the firm and for the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA). LeFevre is the Chair of the GAAP Basis Subcommittee of the Government Report Review Task Force of the Illinois CPA Society. LeFevre resides in Batavia, IL.
