Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for Microsoft Dynamics™ GP Business Users

Course Description:

This two day, hands-on training class teaches basic T-SQL syntax to business users of Microsoft Dynamics GP. T-SQL is the common query language used to get data out of Microsoft Dynamics GP and turn it into useful information. This information can then be viewed in various reporting packages, including Excel, SmartList Builder, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access and SQL Reporting Services. Throughout the class, common T-SQL statements will be used against the most commonly used tables in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Course objectives:

• Review Microsoft Dynamics GP windows and identify how
  to locate that data in SQL
• Understand how data is stored differently in SQL than what
  is seen in the application
• Learn how to easily view & refresh data in Excel without the
  need for special SQL tools
• Create common T-SQL expressions for data extraction &
  key reporting
• Understand the differences between equal, left and right
  joins
• SQL views, tables, procedures
• Learn the various components that make up SQL
• Review the SQL Microsoft Dynamics GP settings
• Understand the naming conventions & data storage options   used in Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Review the tools that explain how to find data
• Create test company in Microsoft Dynamics GP with
  production data
• Compare SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 differences

 

This class is an introductory level class and is ideal for all business users and technical users with little or no exposure to SQL. All participants will receive easy to use diagram explanations of the core Microsoft Dynamics GP tables & fields that are used often in reporting.

Clients have an option of buying a prepaid block of five training class days at the discounted price of $2,250. Multiple employees from a single company qualify.

Example - Two employees from a single company sign up for the Microsoft Dynamics GP v2010 Unleashed class (2 employees x 1 day of training per employee = 2 days).  This leaves three days of training class credit left.

Receive a 10% discount for registering two or more employees for the same class.  This discount cannot be combined with the prepaid block of five training class days.

On-site customized training classes are available at $1,280 for 8 hours of training for unlimited employees.

Non-clients have an option of buying a prepaid block of five training class days at the discounted price of $2,700. Multiple employees from a single company qualify.

*A 100% deposit is required to reserve a seat. Cancellations received within 72 hours of the class start time will receive a full refund. Late cancellations and no-shows will forfeit their deposit.
