    The US and the EU are the largest markets for professional services, although firms are expanding in emerging economies such as Brazil, Russia, India, and China.

    The US professional services industry includes about 770,000 firms with combined annual revenue of more than $1.5 trillion.

    The industry does not include insurance, securities, or real estate brokerage services.
