Job Description:

Sikich is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team based out of our Brookfield, WI office. This is a great entry level opportunity to learn, earn and develop professional experience very quickly within a growing, stable organization as a major contributor to its success.
The administrative assistant supports the entire firm in all administrative needs, providing administrative services to CPAs and all other business affiliates.  In addition to maintaining an efficient and organized work environment for all firm employees.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
• In conjunction with the Administrative Manager, serve as a liaison between the corporate marketing department and the Milwaukee office in the following capacities:
o Prepare marketing and sales reports
o Track proposals and referral sources
o Assist in prospect identification and tracking
o Typing, formatting, and assembly of proposals
o Drafting, editing and finalizing engagement letters
o Conduct prospective client/market research
o Assist with competitive intelligence
o Coordinate and oversee firm special events
o Maintain media mailing list; prepare and distribute standard press releases as necessary
o Maintain inventory of promotional literature; update materials
o Coordinate firm community activities (e.g. charity walks)
o Assist with trade show preparation
o Assist with correspondence
o Assist with PowerPoint presentations and handout materials
o Preparation and set-up of client files
o Prepare files, data entry, maintain copies and records, process and route forms
• Regular filing of company files
o Maintain paper and electronic files as needed

• Scan, Copy and Distribution
o Assist with projects as needed
• Word Processing and Tax Processing back up as needed
• Provide back-up to the other Administrative Team members in all capacities including reception
• Assist with maintaining supplies and kitchen areas
• Mail Processing
o Process outgoing mail assuring proper postage is affixed
o Prepare certified delivery mail, overnight mail, and bills of lading for courier deliveries
o Sort and distribute incoming mail to employees and pick up outgoing mail from work areas
o Contact vendors for courier deliveries or overnight packages

• Education and/or Experience
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.  Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.  Attention to detail, a teamwork attitude and enthusiasm for the nature of the work are necessary.

• Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents.  Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

• Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
