We are currently seeking a Partner/Senior Manager-Agriculture based out of our office located in Decatur, IL. The Partner/Senior Manager will be the lead contact on client assignments. This individual will be responsible for planning, project management, supervising engagements, as well as providing industry expertise to cliental and Sikich staff.


  • Responsible for practice development including lead generation
  • Successfully manage engagements, groups, and teams of all sizes
  • Be familiar with the qualifications of all staff members under his/her jurisdiction, review staff
      assignments, assist in recruiting, developing and training the professional staff.
  • Follow the progress of the work during an engagement, from the initial understanding with the
      client through knowledge of the client’s impression of the conduct of the engagement.
  • Maintain steady contact with clients throughout the business year.  This involves a thorough
      knowledge of the client and all facets of his/her business rather than a mere routine attendance
      to his/her immediate problems.
  • Deal directly with the client’s attorneys and bankers.
  • Communicate Firm policies and technical information through individual or group meetings.
  • Communicates and reinforces Firm culture
  • Mentors and coaches others
  • Represent the Firm in professional and service organizations.
  • Develop the Firm’s reputation and his/her own through conducting seminars, making speeches,
      and similar activities.
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge and expertise in a specialized area of practice.
  • Develop executive level relationships with clients
  • Assist partners with practice development.  Identifies, follows-up, and closes on additional service
  • Participates in team, office, and Firm management and leadership
  • Participates in business unit planning
  • Responsible for billing and profitability of all assigned engagements.
  • Participate in employment, education, and development decisions for Firm personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Certification
  • 10+ years of Public Accounting practice experience
  • Ability to develop new cliental and expand existing services to cliental
  • 10+ years of engagement management experience
  • Significant track record of mentoring and coaching accounting professionals
  • Experience in managing engagement budgets, expenses, and performance management
  • Specific proficiency and expertise in researching accounting issues pertaining to the agriculture
  • Proficient in current accounting methodologies, practices, and regulations
  • The ability to articulate complex financial data and review significant findings that raise questions
      involving principles and financial statement presentation
  • Ability to build rapport with firms partners and management to display elite leadership
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate,
      influence, negotiate; resolve conflicts, and effectively coach employees, managers and executives
  • Be of high integrity and moral character and committed to following quality control standards
  • The ability to travel as needed; the position requires travel to seminars and conferences along
      with significant community involvement and similar activities
